Every student is different. When I was in school I had all the expense I had before I was a student like mortgage, utilities, food, clothing, supplies, gas, car insurance, gym membership and tuition and books. I maxed out my IRA as usual.

I didn't use student loans and paid off my credit card every month only using it for tuition and books. I didn't have cable tv, cell phone, internet or car payments.

If you are living on campus you pay Room & Board which is usually between 8k - 12k, also a meal plan.

If you paid for room and board you will usually get internet, cable tv, and utilities included.

Parking is also provided.

No one in colleges pay retirement plans that I know of.

Cell phones yes unless you are still on a family plan.

You're usually able to use your colleges gym to workout.

I would only use the credit card to build credit, don't buy anything you can't pay off by the end of the month.

Food you have to pay for to stock up your dorm room pantry.

One of my friends has asked me a similiar questions before,we found helpful here http://www.healthinsurance-onlinetips.info/health-insurance-for-free.htm .
