If you work/study in high school would they expect you to contribute more towards your college expenses?

This is a financial aid question. I've heard from a few people this is true, but I just find it unreasonable since the kid has worked harder in high school, yet is expected to pay more in college.

NO. It is entirely based on personal need, your parents income, how much the specific college costs, and if you are planning in working during college.

I couldn't rely on my parents to put me through college so I worked my way through like a responsible adult. It helped me prepare for the way the world works.
