What to do about my life? (Related to College vs transportation, family)?

My car is broken, I live about 45 minutes from my college. I have hitch hiked to school before, but I got assaulted in a parking lot etc....

If I ask my mom for a ride she threatens to leave me stranded etc...she was diagnosed with about 10 mental problems, she will do something horrible and leave you in tears and then 5 mintues later she won't remember doing it. She also does identity theft etc....and she talks and talks and talks, she makes it hard to remember your homework etc..because she talks about anythign and everything unrelated to school, and she insists that people are following her and coming into her house, and really crazy paranoid sounding stuff. She basically does anything horrible she can, one of her diagnsoes is an agressive socialpath which is someone who feeds off of hurting other people and that is their only joy, she won't even do her laundry, bathe or much else, she only talks about and does things that are motivated by harm to other people. Like now she is saying she wants to put up cameras in our bedrooms and I don't want her to see me getting dressed.

I want to live by myself, in my own apartment, and also have a car, but my mom has done things to my credit and I'm not sure if I can get a loan to cover my college expenses.

I am so sad and cold hitch hiking and begging my crazy mother for rides to school everday because it involves waiting for 4 to 5 hours per day in a burger king or a library for someone to pick me up to and from school. If I'm lucky, I've also come close to sleeping all night in a parking lot near the school.

What should I try do to be able to go to college?

seriously - college should be #1 in your life right now. Here's what you need to do:

1. you need to check www.freecreditreport.com to see if there is anything on your credit. If there is, dispute it and get it expunged off your credit.

2. apply for financial aid and student loans.

3. talk to the college you go to, and apply to live on campus in a dorm if they have it, or ask them where you could live that is close by since you have transportation issues right now.
