I hear stories about established adults now still working to pay off their college loans. Are college loans really That bad? Are they really THAT hard to pay off? If I go into computer science/engineering and wind up getting a job after 4 years, Do you guys still think it will be hard to pay off loans in such a hot high paying major?
how can college loans in themselves be "bad"? They are MONEY at low interests for conscientious people who absolutely need them to buy books and FEED themselves.
But most of them just use their loans to buy booze, cars, clothes, generally unnecessary stuff and THEN they moan they can't pay them off.
Just don't be a loser like them and you will be more than ok.
Use the loan for WHAT THE LOAN IS MEANT TO BE, yes?
There are people from Africa and other developing countries that would die to be in your position.
Finanacial Aid usally does a great job providing the proper amount of aid to you. I think you could get a side job like at the college book store or something to help you get the extra money you are looking for.
Not everyone runs big debts, only those who think it's free money. I know people that also took up bartender jobs and those didn't do too bad at all.
well whatever you do don't leave college within some time you will be able to pay back you will have a degree it s helps more than what it takes
Yes, Student Loans can be a bear to pay off. You have to remember, your have ZERO of the expenses in life now, as you have when your done with school. Rent, car payments, car insurance, cable, power, etc.....etc.....and I'm not even into starting a family expenses......... The thing with these student loans, and I'm speaking to you as someone who's just getting to see the light in paying mine off, you have to look ahead. Don't pay for stupid (((( with the loans. Don't take the max and then use the leftover $500 to get drunk with your buddies. 15 years from now, that drunken weekend will cost you $1500. If you get a good education, and can get yourself a good gig, you'll be fine, just try to only use what you need while in school. If you don't need the max, don't take the max allowed to you.
